Sandy Creek Covered Bridge is one of the three historic Howe-truss bridges in Missouri. The bridge is 74 feet, 6 inches long and 18 feet, 10 inches wide with an entrance height of 13 feet. The original bridge was built in 1872 by John Hathaway Morse and was named for the creek it spans. I was destroyed by high waters in May 1886 and rebuilt in August of the same year

I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. I am an advanced self taught photographer since 2005, and now mostly use my photos as resources for my paintings.
