Ralph Wideman, a retired fireman, has spent many years building street rods, roadsters,etc. which are his passion. His garage is always kept perfect.. This is his current project July 2010. This unique part of our American culture is still alive and well. 1925 Model T Modified-Lakes Roadster
The car is built on a custom 2x3" chassis, it features a 6" dropped axle in front and a 41 Ford open drive rear end with a quick change cover. The engine is a 180" plus 4cyl. engine with one off intake manifold and two 40 Dcoe weber side draft carbs and a 5 speed manual transmission. It also features 40Ford brakes, S.W. round face gauges, friction shocks and countless hand fabricated and designed parts and many hundreds of hours of love's lost labor.

I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. I am an advanced self taught photographer since 2005, and now mostly use my photos as resources for my paintings. I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting. My early years as an artist were focused mainly on music.
