Artist's Description

Sandy Creek Covered Bridge is one of the three historic Howe-truss bridges in Missouri. The bridge is 74 feet, 6 inches long and 18 feet, 10 inches wide with an entrance height of 13 feet. The original bridge was built in 1872 by John Hathaway Morse and was named for the creek it spans. It was destroyed by high waters in May 1886 and rebuilt in August of the same year

I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting. My early years as an artist were focused mainly on music.
