Artist's Description

The silent glow of the infamous arches await their last game. Photographed the morning of the last day a game was ever played in Busch Stadium, Oct. 19, 2005. Busch Memorial Stadium, later known as Busch Stadium, was the home of the St. Louis Cardinals National League baseball team from May 12, 1966 to October 19, 2005..It opened four days after the last game was played in their old home, Sportsman's Park (which had also been known since 1953 as Busch Stadium). About Robert FERD Frank

Robert FERD Frank

I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting. My early years as an artist were focused mainly on music. I first played trumpet in high school, and my interest changed to rock & roll after the English invasion of the Stone's and Beatles. I played in...
