Artist's Description
On December 5th, 1996 Beatle Bob (aka Robert Matonis) began his concert attendance run which ended January 23,2023 ...9439 days! (there were 85 days missed in this period due to an ordinace in St. Louis which shut down clubs during the Covid crisis. The run ended due to his diagnosis of ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease He was know by his "Mop Top" and dancing thru the shows near the stage and sometimes on it
About Robert FERD Frank
I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. As of February 2024 I have fallen in love with soft pastels and am currently painting a few pieces a month I am an advanced self taught photographer since 2005, and now mostly use my photos as resources for my paintings. I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting. My early years as an artist were focused mainly on music. I first played trumpet in high school,...
