Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums. I am an advanced self taught photographer since 2005, and now mostly use my photos as resources for my paintings. I believe it is important to have a personal connection with the subject of the painting. My early years as an artist were focused mainly on music.
