Artist's Description

Tower Rock is a few miles south of Chester Illinois on the Mississippi River. During the late summer and fall of 2022 the river fell into drought conditions and the rive levels near this rock were under 1.5 feet, which allowed visitors to walk across the river bed to the rock. This painting is an acrylic, impressionistic version of the rock in October

I have always loved the impressionistic style and have always desired to paint. At the beginning of the pandemic, April of 2020, I retired and began painting. I have no formal training. I am self taught, and have used online tutorials. I have found that acrylics work best for me, but continue to experiment with other mediums.
